Branson is an Ozark town in southwest Missouri known as a family vacation destination. It is 76 Country Boulevard is famously lined with theaters, which once hosted mostly country music performers but today presents diverse entertainment. Along the strip is the Marvel Cave, the Wild West-style Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede Dinner Attraction and Silver Dollar City, an 1800s-themed amusement park with live music.
One of the top tourist destinations in Branson is, and has been for decades, Silver Dollar City. The first thing you notice when you arrive in the Branson area is the breathtaking beauty of the hills, mountains, and lakes of the Ozarks. Situated at the crossroads of the Midwest, the South and the West, the Branson area’s mountains, lakes, and streams is the most visited part of the Missouri Ozarks. Branson sits along the White River, which makes up three pristine lakes: Table Rock Lake, Lake Taneycomo and Bull Shoals Lake.
Although small in population, Branson has the amenities of a large community. With a robust economy, well-funded schools, moderate cost of living, entertainment, and gorgeous residential homes, you will find Branson to be a great place to live and a fabulous place to visit. The two closest airports offering regular scheduled commercial service to Branson are the Branson Airport (BKG), and The Springfield- Branson National Airport (SGF).
