Some of the country’s most beautiful National Parks call the Golden State their home. Yosemite National Park is about 1,200 miles of serene beauty. There’s also Redwood National Park, which is home to the tallest redwood tree in the world, and the Sequoia National Park. Even just outside of San Francisco are the Marin Headlands, where some of the most gorgeous nature habitats and wildlife in the USA.

There is no way to visit California without running into at least one major beach spot. And that’s kind of amazing. California is known variously as The Land of Milk and Honey, The El Dorado State, The Golden State, and The Grape State. California produces more than 17 million gallons of wine each year. The redwood is the official state tree. Some of the giant redwoods in Sequoia National Park are more than 2,000 years old.
California is popular because of its people, its climate, and its foods. California produces a lot of foods so the people in California generally have affordable access to excellent quality meats, fruits, nuts, and vegetables. The climate in California has something for nearly everyone. From desert to coastal oasis. California, with its Spanish, Mexican, Asian and Eastern United States cultural roots, is a melting pot that joins cuisines, languages, and traditions from every corner of the globe. The public has loved the Golden State for centuries. Crops include grapes, almonds, strawberries, oranges, and walnuts. California produces almost all the country’s almonds, apricots, dates, figs, kiwi fruit, nectarines, olives, pistachios, prunes, and walnuts. It leads in the production of avocados, grapes, lemons, melons, peaches, plums, and strawberries. California has a lot of different areas with different feels.
Northern California is much more wooded with more rivers, lakes, streams, forests, big trees. It has secluded, beautiful, peaceful beaches and a lot of very nice people. Its climate is cold in the winter, generally hot in the summer. With millions of acres of farmland, California leads the U.S. in agricultural production. The state is also home to famous cultural institutions and national parks including Hollywood, Disneyland, Yosemite National Park, Alcatraz, Angel Island, and the Golden Gate Bridge.
