Sharing our Stories
We are best known by others and our stories are best seen in the company of others.
The Hope. Health. & Healing. conference will offer you an opportunity to connect the dots of the speaker’s stories and see how their stories weave into your own life. Through this exploration you will experience growth both emotionally, and spiritually. The Bible shows us that Jesus used parables in His ministry because they are deeply rooted in the simple stories of people and are storehouses filled with the mysteries of God. When Jesus was asked by His disciples why He used parables, Jesus said that He would fulfill the words of the prophets and reveal the mysteries from the foundations of the world. Stories or parables that were used throughout the Bible, led people to Him. Jesus used parables to communicate to all walks of life. Rather than using words of learned scholars, Jesus spoke in everyday language which connected those who heard his stories to Him.

Shelby fully believes in this and believes that clothing should be an outward expression of your inner self. Ever since Shelby was able to hold a pencil, she has been drawing clothes. It was never a question of what she wanted to do, she wanted to be a designer. When she graduated high school, she enrolled in the fashion design program at Missouri State University and was set on designing Bridal Gowns. Shelby did everything to work towards that goal. She interned for wedding gown designer, Hayley Paige, and did FOUR other internships in addition to that one. For senior thesis, she was required to design and make five full outfits and have at least three be approved by a jury to go on to show. She created six and showed six approved Bridal Gowns. When Shelby tells you, her mind was made up, she meant it. She knew that the wedding industry is where she wanted to be. But she was pursuing two degrees, and though she had completed her design degree, she still had a year left for her merchandising degree. So, what pulled Shelby away from what she fully believed she was meant to do? She had a spiritual experience and knew; she was supposed to use her talent for God. And now she has a full clothing brand, SHE WHO IS.

I had the privilege to join the Hope, Health & Healing online webinar on Friday, March 12th. Wow! I was so touched by each of the speaker’s stories that they shared in the webinar. Hearing their stories of adversity in their lives and how they overcame these trials was just inspiring for me. I was ready to give in to the struggles that I have been dealing with in my life until I heard the wisdom of these wonderful women who shared how they overcame their obstacles in life. They talked about never giving up on your dreams because someday you will achieve them by pressing forward. Their words have helped me to press on in my own journey. Thank you, Jill Jacobs Reynolds for putting this wonderful webinar together and for inviting me to join and listen to stories of hope and faith! I look forward to attending many more future events that you will offer. Crissy Butler
Jill is an amazing leader and her HOPE.HEALTH. & HEALING virtual event was so inspiring. Her own story is incredible as well as the other speakers that also shared their personal stories. Everyone that spoke was real, raw and from the heart. It is so awesome as well as heartwarming to be connected to so many faith-based thought leaders, to affirm that I am on the right path in sharing my own message. Thank you for the opportunity to be a part of your wonderful group! Wendy Bjork aka The MS Warrior Queen
I have attended two Brave Heart Workshops — an incredible experience both times. Jill has so much experience with different modalities of personal wellness, which make her retreats so successful. I have personally enjoyed the drama therapy workshop weekends- which have brought much clarity and freedom to my own journey. Jill has a heart and a passion for wellness in body, mind, and spirit, coupled with the skills to make these workshops run efficiently. She balances therapeutic story and body-work with time and space for effective rest, reflection, and rejuvenation. Lonnie
Both of the Brave Heart’s workshops I attended were great experiences for me, opening up a door to some issues from my past I was unaware of before. It was challenging, but one of the most enlightening opportunities of my life! I discovered the root of my trauma and was able to take home what I learned in the workshop and fully heal, conquer my fears, and confront major obstacles in my life. I learned about my strength, my desires, my needs, and my true authentic self. I am now a social worker and therapist practicing from a place of solidarity, clarity, and a grounded foundation. I found my voice and my freedom. I feel so blessed, grateful, inspired and hopeful that others can do the same through Jill’s workshops. Dorothy Y
