The Bible shows us that Jesus used parables in His ministry because they are deeply rooted in the simple stories of people and are storehouses filled with the mysteries of God. When Jesus was asked by His disciples why He used parables, Jesus said that He would fulfill the words of the prophets and reveal the mysteries from the foundations of the world. Stories or parables that were used throughout the Bible, led people to Him. Jesus used parables to communicate to all walks of life. Rather than using words of learned scholars, Jesus spoke in everyday language which connected those who heard his stories to Him.

I had the privilege to join the Hope, Health & Healing online webinar on Friday, March 12th. Wow! I was so touched by each of the speaker’s stories that they shared in the webinar. Hearing their stories of adversity in their lives and how they overcame these trials was just inspiring for me. I was ready to give in to the struggles that I have been dealing with in my life until I heard the wisdom of these wonderful women who shared how they overcame their obstacles in life. They talked about never giving up on your dreams because someday you will achieve them by pressing forward. Their words have helped me to press on in my own journey. Thank you, Jill Jacobs Reynolds, for putting this wonderful webinar together and for inviting me to join and listen to stories of hope and faith! She is a #1 International Best-Selling Author in a collaborative book, “Fiercely Faithful” where she shares her story called “The Essence of Humility.” Jill shows an audience how to reconnect with what matters most in life so they can be set free from shame, embarrassment, and humiliation. At 28, Jill’s life was a train wreck. Addicted to Crack Cocaine, Alcohol, and down to 97 pounds, she lost her job in San Diego and moved back to Chicago after she had an encounter with God. Dr. Marla Woodmansee is a Bible communicator, motivational speaker, author, radio talent, and TV host for a national, nondenominational Christian TV program on GEB network, which reaches 38 million households internationally. She teaches at conferences, universities, chapels, churches, and various other meetings. She has been ministering and teaching as an ordained minister for over 20 years. She has also studied many aspects of natural health including, nutrition, herbalism, aromatherapy, and detoxification techniques along with faith healing. Christy is a product of what she has learned and now she teaches this to others. She has personally lost over 100 pounds and has kept if off for over 4 years while dramatically improving her health and fitness. She also has helped numerous clients to improve their health and lose weight as well.

The Lord gave Stan and Rosie Robinson a vision to open a drug and alcohol center in 2007. While praying and meditating on God’s Word, the name for the center was revealed. The Brook name came from 1 Kings 17:4. Elijah was at the brook and the ravens fed him there. The Brook would be a place where people would find hope and love. Stan and Rosie were to teach those in need, that by the Word of God, their minds would be renewed, and their lives transformed (Romans 12:2). They opened The Brook on June 4, 2018, and now have 2 locations in Branson and Branson West to be able to help even more people in our community. Rosie’s heart is for those who are struggling with a substance use disorder, and trauma whether young or old, to be set free from their bondage and live a healthy life. Stan and Rosie have been married for 20 years and have 5 children. For all they have accomplished so far, they give the Lord the glory because if it wasn’t for Him, they could never have taken that leap of faith. Amen!

Imaobong Smart is a nurse a transformational speaker and is mental health certified with North Texas Behavioral Health Authority (NTBHA). She has her degree in theology and is currently working towards her master’s degree She is an author of “STAY your life is precious” a book focused on helping people overcome suicidal thoughts. She is also a movie producer/director and is currently working on the production of her feature film STAY; adapted from the book “STAY; your life is precious”. Ima is the purpose strategist and house speaker at her Nonprofit, Purpose house foundation (TPH). TPH is focused on helping women and youth discover, develop, and deploy their purpose. Haven Howard started her musical career at the age of 4 and carried that through college where she met her husband, Ron. After they were married in 1970, they formed a duo, Ron & Haven, and music ministry became their work and passion. Life takes different turns and after moving to Branson, MO, Haven also became a consultant with Arbonne International where she helps others find better health. This company was the answer to my prayers for financial freedom and helping others. She is also the Area Director for SW Missouri for Concerned Women for America of Missouri. Haven and Ron have two adopted sons and she will share their adoption story of facing the pain of infertility and then the blessings of letting God write the story of their family.

Felicity Joy Solomon, PhD, has been a Dream Strategist since 2012. This career found her after over 20 years as a stage and screen performer and director. Cat Sharp is a Jesus-loving, worship-singing movie geek who has never fully grown up. Shelby Carney is the owner and designer behind SHE WHO IS. She launched her brand in the Spring of 2019 with the goal to empower women through what they wear. Shelby has always wanted to design clothing, but it took her a long time and a lot of trial and error to realize how she wanted to use her talent for God. Through every trial and every downfall, God showed her along the way. The best outfit you can put on is one that makes you feel fantastic! s. When she graduated high school, she enrolled in the fashion design program at Missouri State University and was set on designing Bridal Gowns. Shelby did everything to work towards that goal. She interned for wedding gown designer, Hayley Paige, and did FOUR other internships in addition to that one. She knew that the wedding industry is where she wanted to be. But she was pursuing two degrees, and though she had completed her design degree, she still had a year left for her merchandising degree. So, what pulled Shelby away from what she fully believed she was meant to do? She had a spiritual experience and knew; she was supposed to use her talent for God. And now she has a full clothing brand, SHE WHO IS.

Anita French-Kidd Stahl is an anointed Singer/Songwriter, Motivational Speaker, and Evangelist. Daughter of an ordained father and mother in Ministry, Anita is now following in the steps of her parents, singing, and ministering the Lord’s praises. Teresa Snider’s passion is being a Global Mastermind Leader. It allows her to work with like-minded people with a good heart and soul. Dr. Johannes J. Christian was the founding Pastor of The Adoration and Peace Baptist Church in Columbus, Ohio. Branson’s mask mandate will be lifted in May. You can select to wear masks at your own discretion, but they won’t be mandatory in August. The theater where the conference is being held holds 1,600 seats, but we will max out our registrations at 600 attendees to insure social distancing.
